STOREHOUSE PANTRY

The Storehouse is a food pantry ministry of St. John's that started in 2004 to address food insecurity in our local community. At that time, a small room in the back of the church with one freezer/refrigerator unit was devoted to the ministry, serving a handful of clients. Today, much of our building of 13,000 sq. ft., is used to facilitate this ministry.

backsack ministry

This program is an outreach of St. John's Episcopal Church to address food insecurity among the most vulnerable members of our community--our children.  Since the Spring of 2015 we have expanded this program to serve all four Speedway Schools, providing healthy nutrition to 115 children every weekend during the school year.  Each child receives a "Backsack" of food for their weekend nutrition.
